Stop Looking For The Formula.
Life, love, and everything in between is an art — not a science.
Hey Reset Fam,
I heard Esther Perel say something recently that gave me so much clarity.
“If it were clear, it would be a science. Since it is not, it is an art.”
And she was talking about relationships. But honestly? This can refer to everything. Life. Career. Identity. Healing. All of it.
Because none of it comes with a formula or a roadmap. And the moment we stop looking for one — that’s when the real beauty begins.
Life is not something you perfect. It’s something you practice. And every single day you get to pick up the brush and try again.
The question isn’t whether you have it all figured out. The question is whether you’re willing to keep creating anyway.
Here’s what nobody tells you about the art of living.
You are allowed to pivot, reset, change your mind, change your path, change your whole life if that’s what it takes to get to the truest version of yourself.
I recently came across a conversation between Mel Robbins and Seth Godin. They talked about one small but powerful word swap that can completely shift how you see your own story.
Stop saying "but." Start saying "and."
Not “I was rejected, but I kept going.” Rather, try using “I was rejected, AND I kept going.” Not “I’ve been through hell, but I made it.” But “I’ve been through hell, AND I made it.” Not “I failed, but I’m still standing.” But “I failed, AND I’m still standing.”
Because "but" erases everything that came before it. "And" holds it all. The pain AND the progress. The fear AND the courage. The loss AND the becoming.
You get to reset. You get to pivot. This Pride Month and every single day beyond it — you get to rewrite every narrative that tried to shrink you.
Here’s your reset this week:
Ask yourself: Where have I been saying “but” and can start saying “and?” Where have I been looking for a formula instead of trusting my own artistry? What narrative have I been telling myself that needs to be reframed? What would I do differently if I truly believed I was worthy of something great?
Now take what you wrote and do something with it. One step. One pivot. One reset. That's all it takes to start creating differently.
Because the art of your life doesn’t paint itself. 🎨
Stop looking for the formula.
Trust the art. Trust the process. Trust yourself.
You’ve always had everything you need to create something beautiful.
