Before saying yes, I asked: Do our values align?

I wanted to share something that felt powerful recently.

I got a response from a job I applied to. Before I sent my availability for an interview, I did something I’ve never done before.

I asked them: What are your values?

I needed to know if we align. Because I get to choose who and where gets to experience me. ALL of me.

That’s what a reset looks like in real life. It’s pausing before you say yes. It’s asking the questions that matter. It’s choosing alignment over desperation.

You don’t have to say yes to everything. You get to decide what’s worth your energy.
